Rameshwaram - Where the Lands End

This is my first blog post ever!!!! kida nervous coz am not so good at writing :P ...well I love taking pictures and I love telling stories through them .
After a long weeks work I decided to take a off  to Rameshwaram, city located on the Pamban Island considered to be one of the auspicious and holy ground for the Hindus in India. I hopped on to the train from Ramnad to Rameshwaram, (which i almost missed, because of the usually infamous punctuality of  the indian railway this time the train decided to leave before schedule.) And so started what i would think of as the best train ride of my life!!! Everything around me was Lush and green and had water all around. it was beautiful, i tired taking pictures from the moving train but none of them are worth posting here so i ll skip that. On-route to Rameshwaram is the 2nd longest bridge in INDIA called the Pamban Bridge which stretches over ....kms. As the train goes over the bridge you see water gushing below on either side of the track, its was beautiful!!! i wanted to take a closer view so i went and stood at the door..its a lil scary but was a breathtaking view. According to legend, this is the very place where Lord Rama built a bridge across the sea to Lanka to rescue his wife Sita from her abductor Ravana. That is a long story by itself so here a link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam's_Bridge . There is a very famous temple here called the Ramanathaswamy temple, Rameswaram its otherwise know as the TEMPLE OF THOUSAND PILLARS, now that sounds cool!!! i got a lovely pictures of the corridor with the thousand pillars (250 to be exact ,there are 3 other corridors ..kinda like four sides of a square and inside the square you have the main worship area ) .

I din have a tripod with me so made use of my camera bag kept in on the floor camera on top set to auto exposure bracketing with the self timer on and the result AWESOME HDR !!!!
